I am done with my warm-ups and decided to do more sketches. Outside my window I saw a parked car. Decent motive, not too many details, interesting perspective, and when I draw at home I don't even have to wear pants and can scan in individual stages along the way.
What I learned: my perspective game is still a bit try-and-see, I should go do more rounds on draw-a-box.com.
My linework looks rough. I am working through Guptil's book and patiently practice calm, clear lines and patterns, but when I am hooked to a motive most of it goes out the windows and I just want to get that shape filled ...fast! Becoming increasingly far-sighted doesn't help with precision either, as all I do is quite blurry, and I am always guessing where my lines exactly start and end. Thank god I get new glasses next week.
